Recommendations mean more when they come from someone who actually eats there, not a generic list. Here are the places we go back to.
Sunshine Chinese and Thai: Hidden Gem
525 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Suwanee. Around for years, and the Mongolian Triple Delight with the house special fried rice is spectacular, worth the trip on its own.
Alessio's Restaurant & Pizzeria: Casual Hangout
Right next to St. Marlo. The natural spot for gathering with friends, watching a game, or grabbing a casual meeting over drinks. The chicken wings and Italian food are some of the best in the area.
Pampas Steakhouse: Top Fine Dining Pick
Johns Creek. Our top pick for a special night out. My wife loves the lobster mac and cheese, and the bone-in ribeye is excellent. Before you order, your server brings out the cuts of steak tableside so you can actually see what you're choosing, a nice touch that makes the whole meal feel like an event.
H&W Steakhouse: Best for a Romantic Evening
Peachtree Corners. From the same team as Pampas, with the same tableside steak presentation, but a different feel, more polished and celebratory, live piano, and a handwritten note with dessert if you're marking an occasion. Especially suited for a date night.
Stone's Cuisine & Cocktails: Neighborhood Favorite
Johns Creek. A farm-to-table spot with a dog-friendly patio, worth it for the filet or fish and chips and a well-made cocktail. Feels more like a regular's spot than a special-occasion restaurant, which is exactly its appeal.
